The theme of the article is within the disciplines that may be included in this magazine: PLOS ONE (initially PLoS ONE, PLOS ONE from 2012) which is a scientific journal published by the Public Library of Science (PLOS). It is an open access publication, the corresponding license is Creative Commons Attribution 2.5 Generic. Mainly integrates basic research in any subject related to science and medicine. So it is suitable presentation on it.

The article title is ideal, since it clear that inhibition of both factors: EGFR and IGF1R increases the radio-sensitivity of cells of prostate cancer through the synergistic suppression of the mechanisms of DNA repair by means of recombination counterparts (HRR) only, thus excluding repair pathway by non-homologous end, NHEJ.

The summary is accurate and lightening, allowing understand the article and summarizes the content of the main text1.

ABSTRACT TRABAJO

Introduction, develops progression of prostate cancer treatment, until this study and checking how synergistically acting on both receptors modulate the response of the PC cells to radiotherapy, improving all previous therapeutic results.

The experimental hypothesis was tested in a scientifically rigorous way through various methods, which provide us with all the information needed to reproduce the experiment and interpret the results of the same. This proven by statistical analysis of the effect of Erlotinib and AG1024, using the statistical test for quantitative variables (t-student) and degree of statistical significance (p <0.05), with p <0.05 in vitro and p <0.01 in vivo.

The results obtained are prosperous, are described clearly and concisely in six points, in which a script makes us essentially the same.

At the conclusion of the study need to explain, non intervention in the NHEJ pathway, which is the fast component of the biphasic kinetics, which is subject to errors and representing 90% of the repair of DNA produced in the DRC, for as only 10% of the HRR pathway. In fact I should focus more, because it is ignoring the repair mechanism that triggers the 90% of the time. Thus, you can raise questions of future success than this study suggests2.

Overall, the article is well organized and easy to follow. It consists of a spacious and well supported bibliography. But he is too detailed concepts that are important but are not essential for the proper transmission of information that aims to this work. Always making it clear that many studies are still necessary to carry out this idea into clinical practice3.
